The young French fine leather goods brand Thalie Paris is part of an eco-responsible approach by choosing recyclable and recycled materials.
Its collection includes three material ranges: the "Sushi" made from Squama®, a salmon leather co-produced from the food industry supplied by the French tannery ICTYOS Cuir Marin de France; the “Cactus”, a PeTA -certified vegan line made from cactus fiber from Mexico; and the "Upcycled" manufactured from dormant stocks of leathers from the luxury industry and sourced at Adapta Paris. Turnstile clasps with a galvanised gold finish, hand crafted in Italy, enhance the models produced in limited series in France and in southern Europe, depending on the lines. Sixteen timeless models, whose shapes are inspired by the 1930s, make up the first collection, pre-launched in October on the brand's e-shop. Currently the Livia bag, from the Sushi collection in recycled salmon leather and nappa dipped lambskin, is presented at Station F in Paris, within the Maison des Start-Ups LVMH, supported by a technical augmented reality system. In addition, from September 29 to October 3, the brand is marketing its first models in salmon skin and cactus fibers for pre-order on the Point Physique x French Touch pop-up store in Paris.
"In ancient Greek, Thaleia means" The Flourishing ", and in mythology, it is also the name of one of the Three Graces, the one by whom nature is reborn, which corresponds to the eco-responsible concept of Thalie Paris" , underlines Nathalie Dionne, its founder, also at the head of Brand Creatives Paris, a design studio specialising in the development of sustainable fashion collections.
